Sixty
years ago,
over one million Canadian heroes gallantly served in the cause for
freedom during the Second World War. Across Europe—from the mountains of
Italy to Normandy’s battered beaches—Canadian soldiers were admired for
their courage.
Today, the
Royal Canadian Mint
is proud to commemorate the 60th anniversary of VE Day with a special
5-cent circulation coin—the Victory Anniversary Nickel.
Canadians
everywhere will now be able to remember and share this historic day with
a special circulation coin. |

So,
you want to be Canadian? That's the
title of a new trivia-packed book and a long-overdue celebration of
all things Canadian, from the mysteries of "eh?" to the difference
between an Ogo Pogo and a Windigo to how to prepare moose
stroganoff (mmm!). Kerry Colburn is a San
Francisco-based writer who wants to be Canadian so much she's
marrying one. Rob Sorensen, originally from Edmonton, Alberta, now
lives in San Francisco, where he left his heart.
