Paula Fairweather (Prime
Moose)
P stands for portable. Paula
has lived in four Canadian cities, Cape Town, South Africa
(where she founded the Cape Town Canadian Club) and now San
Jose. B.C. born, she has a degree from UBC. When she moved to
Silicon Valley in 1998, she brought corporate sponsorship and
public relations experience from Canada and other points around
the globe.Paula has
developed and rolled out programs to assist organizations
through business start-ups, special international events, and
the creation of public/private sector partnerships.
She has worked in tech, arts and
culture, professional services and tourism.
Handol Kim (Director)
Handol is Director, Sales & Marketing, Asia
Pacific, for the MicroDisplay Corporation. The MicroDisplay
Corporation is a leading Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS)
integrated design manufacturer that supplies critical components
to the HD television industry. Prior to joining the MicroDisplay
Corporation, Handol was Director, Channel & Strategic
Development at Coradiant, where he led business development and
channel management on the west coast in the managed services and
internet infrastructure space.
Handol spent seven years in the
Canadian Foreign Service as a Trade Commissioner and came to
Silicon Valley as Consul & Trade Commissioner at the Canadian
Consulate Silicon Valley, where co-founded the Consulate's
Ventures Program, VC Advisory Board and the Digital Moose
Lounge. Prior to this assignment, Handol was Deputy Director,
Investment, at the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, where he
drove the office's investment attraction activities in both
facilities (semiconductors) and private equity.
Handol is a graduate of McGill
University and a Vancouver-native. He was a member of the
Canadian E-Business Roundtable Branding Secretariat, and also
serves as Strategic Advisor to Toronto-based start-up, Sonic
Boomerang, and is a voting member of the Leaf Initiative.
Lance McAndrew (Director)
Lance McAndrew moved to the
Bay Area in 1986 to work for Apple Computer. He currently works
for Entrust Technologies in Santa Clara as a technical sales
specialist in the wireless group. He is originally from Alberta,
where he received a Bachelor of Science degree from the
University of Alberta, and a Masters of International Management
Degree from Thunderbird.
John Southwell (Director)
Born and raised in Victoria,
British Columbia, John has a diverse background in hotel
operations with experience in the United States and Canada.
Prior to joining the Hilton San Jose and Towers as General
Manager in 1995, he held Management positions in Operations at
the Sheraton Hotel San Diego and the Sheraton Centre Toronto.
In his capacity as General
Manager for the Hilton San Jose and Towers, John is primarily
responsible for hotel operations, service delivery systems,
strategic financial planning, and sales and marketing. As an
avid supporter of the community, he provides sponsorships and
assistance to many of the diverse organizations throughout San
Jose.
John has been a member of the San
Jose Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors for the
past two years and currently serves as Chairman of the Board for
the 2002-2003 fiscal year.
He also currently serves as a
management trustee on the Board of Trustees for the South Bay
Hotel Employees Restaurant Employees Trust Fund and on the
Hilton Hotels IT Advisory Council. John is a member of San Jose
State University’s Hospitality Management Advisory Board and
Cornell University’s Alumni Admissions Ambassador’s Network
John resides in San Jose with his
wife, Alice and three children: Aidan, Jared, and Julia. When he
is not busy with family, job, church and school obligations, you
can most likely find John on the golf course.

Jeane Weaver (Director)
Born and raised in the Deep South, Jeane earned
her undergraduate degree (and half an R.N.) at Texas A&M
University. To escape the heat and soften her southern drawl,
she moved to California.
Jeane has work experience in
Manufacturing, PR, Systems Admin, and Biz Dev. Most recently,
Jeane co-founded the Next Level venture conference series, and
an online Ventures Program for Canadian entrepreneurs. She is
also co-founder of the Digital Moose Lounge.
Siva Ananmalay (Director)
Siva Ananmalay is the VP, Engineering - Software
for Extreme Networks. He is responsible for the development of
Extreme's software offerings, including its ExtremeWare OS
embedded network operating system, as well as its network
management technologies.
Prior to joining Extreme,
Ananmalay spent more than 14 years with Nortel Networks, where
he served as vice president, Engineering, for the Optical
Ethernet Development department. Siva held many positions
throughout Nortel and BNR in Santa Clara, Ottawa, and
Maidenhead, England.
Ananmalay received a BCS
Honors. (Bachelor of Computer Science) from Carleton University
in Ottawa. Having grown up in the Toronto area,
Siva is a Senators fan.
