BlackBerry Film Screening & Party

Let's geek out together in a private screening of BlackBerry! 

The SFFILM Festival recipient of the 2023 Sloan Science on Screen Prize, a recognition that celebrates the compelling depiction of science in a narrative feature film.

Matt Johnson, Canadian director/writer/actor perfectly captures the heady creative period of the mid-’90s with this exuberant depiction of the rise and fall of the BlackBerry, the first smartphone.

Tickets are limited and seating is first come first serve. Doors open 7:00 and film starts 7:30pm.

We will also be hosting a networking party at 5:30 - 7:00 BEFORE the screening at Smoke Eaters 3175 Mission College Blvd. There will be Canadian beer on tap! (Cash bar, food is not included with your ticket.)
