2025 Events

Another amazing year in the books

The DML hosted another great year of events, starting with a Polar Plunge in the Bay during the chilly month on January.

It was followed by the Warriors vs. Raptors basketball contest and the exciting new sport of SailGP.

We held our traditional events of Canadian Heritage Night with the Sharks, our signature Canada Day Picnic and finished up with turket dinner at UC Berkeley with our Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner.

Thank you to our sponsors and supporters for making it a fabulous 2025!

Canada Day Picnic 2025

Elbows Up!
June 29, 2025

Our annual Canada Picnic was another sellout with beautiful weather and over 200 Canadians of all ages in attendance.  The catering from Flamin' Dog was excellent as were the games (the Donut boat race was awesome as usual) . Thanks to all who helped to make its a success.

Canadian Heritage Night

Sharks vs Leafs
Mar. 27, 2025

A wonderful group of Canadians gathered in the Penthouse suites of the SAP Center, and loudly sang the Canadian Anthem. Guests enjoyed the Augies smoked meat sandwiches and Molson Canadian on tap. That was followed by an exciting game, which saw the Leafs mount a late 3rd period comeback to push the game into O/T. After the back and forth, the game was decided  by penalty shots, with Macklin Celebrini, netting the game-winning penalty shot.

Sail GP
Mar 22-23, 2025

The Canadian Sail GP was trying to defend their win in Southern California the previous weekend. While they won their heat, they came second to surging Spanish team.

Warriors vs Raptors
Mar 20, 2025

The Warriors faced their Canadian rivals, the Toronto Raptors.

New Year's Polar Plunge
Jan. 5, 2025

A bunch of 'crazy' San Franciscans, including members of the DML jumped into the Bay for quick swim. While typically reserved for inmates of Alcatraz, instead, this fun-loving group took a quick dip followed by warm drink and camaraderie.
